As your Wilmington City Councilmember, I’ve worked to make our community stronger, fairer, and more sustainable by:

• Expanding citizen participation and public input

• Supporting local small businesses through city contracting

• Protecting green space and managing growth responsibly

• Voting for affordable housing, social services, and first responders

• Promoting early voting access, childcare, and early education

But there’s more to do—and it requires county leadership that works with the city, not against it.

We must protect clean water, strengthen public education from Pre-K through community college, invest in safe neighborhoods, and balance growth with the quality of life that makes New Hanover County special.

Recent county budget cuts slashed funding for housing, nonprofits, Pre-K, and critical positions like school nurses and social workers. These cuts weaken our community and stall our progress.

I’m running for New Hanover County Commissioner to put people over politics—investing in families, protecting our environment, and building responsibly for the future.
