Community First.
Responsible Leadership.
Balanced Growth.

Your Vote Matters

Together, we can build a New Hanover County that works for all of us.

As your Wilmington City Councilmember, I’ve worked hard to make our community stronger, fairer, and more sustainable for everyone.

I’ve focused on the things that make life better for all of us—by:

  • Expanding citizen participation through Wilmington 101 and increasing opportunities for public input at Council meetings

  • Spearheading Wilmington’s first Local Purchase Preference Policy so our local small businesses can compete for city contracts

  • Supporting expanded access to early voting and fare-free transit to the polls

  • Advocating for tree preservation and green space

  • Supporting land use policies that help us manage growth responsibly

  • Voting for affordable housing and expanded access to social services

  • Promoting childcare and early childhood education

But as I listen to you, one thing is clear: there’s still more to do—and it can’t be done without a strong partnership with New Hanover County.

We need county leadership that works with the city, not apart from it—to manage growth, address transportation and infrastructure needs, and balance economic development with the natural beauty and quality of life that make New Hanover County special.

Clean water is a right. We must hold polluters accountable, strengthen regulations, and enforce the law.

We must do more to support public education—from Pre-K through community college—and ensure every neighborhood is a safe and welcoming place to live.

This past year, the Republican majority on the Board of Commissioners voted to cut $36 million from the county budget—slashing funding for affordable housing, local non-profits, Pre-K classrooms, and economic development. They eliminated critical jobs, including school nurses, social workers, and dozens of other positions that serve our families.

These cuts weaken our community and undermine the progress we’ve made together.

I believe New Hanover County should prioritize people over politics—investing in families, opportunity, and a sustainable future.

That’s why I’m running for New Hanover County Commissioner:
To fight for a county that invests in people, protects our environment, and builds responsibly.

Together, we can ensure that New Hanover County remains a place where every child, every family, and every small business has the chance to thrive.

Join me—and let’s build a future we can all be proud of.
